We had another wonderful month of ministry! In the beginning of May, we wrapped up our trip to the New York area. It was a great trip, and we met some awesome people at the churches we visited.
After leaving the Penn Yan and Dresden area of New York, we headed west to the town of Sherman close to the western border with Pennsylvania and Ohio. We arrived at Sherman First Baptist Church on Saturday and stayed next door with Pastor Tim Minge and his family that night. It was awesome getting to know their wonderful family. Our kids enjoyed getting to know and playing with their two sons. After sharing our ministry and Patrick preaching the Sunday morning message, we headed back to Maryland after a delightful lunch with the Minge’s.

In addition to setting up appointments, visiting churches, and schoolwork, we decided to start a new small group Bible study at our home. Patrick already leads a small group at our sending church on Wednesday mornings, but we felt God leading us to start another group on Tuesday evenings.
We are doing a six-week study on discipleship. The first meeting was this past Tuesday and it was a great blessing to have so many interested in participating. Including our family, we had ten adults and 12 children along with a babysitter to help with the children! Two others wanted to attend but couldn’t make it this time. The group was a mix of both newer believers and seasoned saints. We pray that this Bible study will be as much of a blessing to those attending as it is to us.
Finally, the most recent update about our financial support is that we are now at 54%. God continues to provide new support partners and we are looking forward to finding out who the remaining partners will be to bring us up to 100%. We know that this process is challenging and typically takes a few years to complete, but we are thankful for all that God is teaching us during the prefield process!
Prayer Requests
Pray for new ministry partners to bring us over 85% before this October to attend FPS class at ABWE.
Pray for safe travels this month and that God will open up new opportunities to share our ministry.
Pray for the team in The Gambia particularly during this season of Ramadan.
Pray that more Wolof people would find salvation through Jesus Christ.
